Small Businesses are #BetterTogether!

Hurricane Ida. Covid-19. Hurricane Zeta. Employee shortage. Hurricane Laura. Mandates. We can all agree that 2020 and 2021 has been tough for many in South Louisiana. Of the many who were affected, small businesses took probably the hardest hit. Many small business owners are facing uncertain futures. In the midst of all of this recovery and rebounding, the busiest time of year for most merchants (the holiday season) is approaching quickly.

Today’s entrepreneurs are facing unprecedented challenges. Now, more than ever, small business owners need to support one another, regardless of the industry. By coming together and supporting each other, small businesses can thrive. Small businesses are are the future of our economy and we are #BetterTogether.

Curious how you can help or partner with other small business owners?  Below are 7 way to create partnerships with other local small businesses:

  1. Purchase new products or services from a local vendor, before outsourcing to a larger corporation.

  2. Hire a small business as a vendor for things like credit card payment processing (like PPS!), product design, SEO/web design, legal, accounting, and many more.

  3. Collaborate with each other on local initiatives like food or clothing drives for local non-profits, or plan a block party/event showcasing all the businesses within an area.

  4. Create or join entrepreneurial groups within your specialized field, or groups that are local to your area.

  5. Tag and call out other small businesses on social media.

  6. Refer new customers to a local business

  7. Promote other small businesses with a dedicated area for owners to put their business cards, like a community corkboard.

Simply stated, times are tough for many small business owners and right now, it's crucial for small businesses to support each other. #BetterTogether

Together we will RECOVER. Together we will RISE. Together we will RENEW.
